Attack speed refers to how quickly you swing a weapon. Axes, pickaxes and hammers are not affected by attack speed.If an item has 50% attack sped it has one sixth of the total speed you can get. The max attack speed is 300% which is achieved by a total of three swords and one war axe. The lowest you can get is 10% which is achieved by getting the Prefix Lazy and swinging a Copper Sword .
